以我在欧洲学习的两个电子相关专业--电信(telecom)和电讯(Telecommunication)为例来介绍一下。 首先,这两个专业都是放在ICT(information and communication technology)下面的,学的东西都大同小异,主要涉及电磁波、信号处理、编码、通讯网络等知识。
Electronic Engineers are mainly concerned with the design, manufacture, development and testing of all kinds of electronic equipment. Their broad specialist engineering knowledge is also put to use in such areas as the electronics of power supply, industrial control and electronics in buildings.
Electronic engineers are engaged in a relatively young profession which involves the flow of very small amounts of electricity through vacuum and solid state devices. A knowledge of mathematical, scientific and engineering principles is essential so that they can carry out design work and analyse faults. Electronic engineering is constantly involved in research and development because of the ever-changing nature of the industry.
Typical activities include solving problems arising due to the use of electrical equipment, studying design briefs and specifications, using computers for simulations and calculations, designing and testing circuits, writing technical reports and manuals to document work and liaising with other engineers.
