签证revoked是什么意思?
Revoke 撤销,使无效 Revoking a visa is not an unusual thing, though. Visa revocations and refusal are very common due to the fact that visas have no legal force in themselves; they're only valid when entered into the country by the border staff at the point of entry (see this blog post for more information on how it works). If you enter without a visa, your arrival stamp makes up what the visa should be. The UK Border Agency sometimes refuses or revokes tourist and business class visas because if these were allowed, then all visitors would get them – including those who could potentially overstay their permits while doing illegal work, or commit other crimes whilst being here unlawfully. So visa revocation can essentially mean anything from “you didn’t come back within 2 years” to “we think you might stay after your permit expires”, but I never heard cases where people came under suspicion as criminals first, got refused visa renewal, and were therefore subsequently revoked. In addition, some countries will issue multiple-entry visas which allow unlimited trips in any period of time between entries; even such visas can be revoked if there are suspicions about whether someone has overstayed.
So basically… visa regulations can change, with little warning, for each country and for every category of visa holder: they might stop issuing certain categories altogether instead of renewing them;the conditions may start changing mid-way through the validity of existing ones——anything goes! Therefore, anyone hoping to apply to live abroad permanently needs to understand that he/she is putting his/her money on lottery. Somebody out there must win eventually, so why shouldn’t it be me?
In short…… just like gambling! :p
