伦敦t4签证是什么?
Tier 4 Student Visa is a student visa for the UK, also known as Tier 4. You apply if you want to study in the UK on a full-time course lasting longer than six months at university or college. It can take up to eight weeks to process your application once it has been submitted.
Your immigration status and permission to stay will be checked when you arrive into the country, usually by Immigration Control Officers (ICOs) at airport or port of entry. Your ICO may check that you have the right documents with them before they let you enter. If you’re coming from outside the European Economic Area, there are additional checks which need to be carried out prior to the ICOs checking these things with you. These include an e-Borders check, and a Home Office Criminal Records Check. This could mean more time being spent waiting until all this information is processed.
You must make sure everything on your visa is correct because if you’re found to be doing anything wrong then you could face prosecution. The rules about working whilst studying are different depending on how long you’ve lived here before starting your course. For example:
If you’ve arrived into the UK within the last three years, your visas are called ‘settled’或‘pre settled’ visas; otherwise, it'll be a ‘temporary leave to remain’, which means that you had temporary permission to live in the UK before getting your current visa. If you came from inside the EEA, you were probably given free movement rights which meant that you didn’t require a work permit during any period of your stay.
For students who have previously studied in the UK but left their visas expired——if they haven’t lived continuously in the UK since their last visit, they won’t normally be able to do paid work. However:
Students who hold permanent residence can always find work;
Those who originally held a student visa but overstayed might still have limited employment opportunities;and, finally, those whose previous residency was never confirmed via an electronic immigration record cannot get jobs without first leaving the country.
A number of Tier 4 students choose not to go home even after completing studies because they like
